Howard Zinn: 1922-2010

In a short article, it would be difficult to do justice to Howard Zinn. The man is legendary. He is one of those rare people who is both brilliant and, simultaneously, down to earth. The best way to learn about him is to hear him speak, or to read some of his work.

A nice tribute to Howard Zinn is found on Democracy Now, including a large number of video clips where you can hear him in his own words. He was a great American - long before that phrase was bandied about lightly, as it seems to be today.
